Background/History
Emerging in 2019, Bellinger Systems continues the legacy of Bellinger Instruments, founded in 1967 by John McAlpine.
Initially focused on aircraft instrumentation, the company shifted towards maritime work in the early 1980s and has been based in Rydalmere since then. A rebranding to Bellinger Systems in 2019 maintained ties to the Bellingen area (see image above). Since being acquired by SYPAQ Systems in 2020, Bellinger has expanded its access and service of the Defence market and enjoyed exponential growth in that time frame.

Bellinger is an established Australian Industry Capability (AIC) providing a diverse range of in-service support activities on military systems and equipment. The depth and breadth of our specific expertise across multiple military domains and platforms means we can provide design, manufacture, upgrade, overhaul and support services to all areas of the Australian Defence Force.

Sovereign Capability
Bellinger has the capabilities to design and manufacture both complete systems and system components. Our capabilities primarily cover the fields of Command, Control, Communications and Computing. Design and manufacture are completed In-house including PCB design, AutoCAD work and prototyping.

Starting at Bellinger in 1986. Dave qualified in electronics, later qualifying in business and management. After serving as Business Development Manager, he moved into the role of GM. He has extensive experience in Defence related projects and all aspects of the business.
